Bank of America adjusts results as FX talks heat up

Adjustment of third-quarter figures follows a similar move by rival Citigroup last week

Bank of America is adjusting its third-quarter results, after talks heated up over a potential settlement concerning the bank’s foreign-exchange practices.

The bank said late Thursday that it would record a $400 million charge, because it is now in "advanced discussions" with "certain US banking regulatory agencies" over its foreign-exchange business.
