Bank of America's head of global prime brokerage is in discussions to leave the firm, people familiar with the matter said.

Stuart Hendel, who has held the position since 2011, has talked with bank officials about leaving in the next few months, the people said. Hendel will stay at the firm for at least the next few weeks for a transition period, one of the people said.
