BoA 'responds to WikiLeaks threat'

Bank launches internal investigation over source of leaks

Bank of America has reportedly launched an internal investigation led by chief risk officer Bruce Thompson to assess the threat posed by a WikiLeaks attack.

The bank has been the subject of speculation that it has been targeted by WikiLeaks since the group's founder Julian Assange said in an interview in November that he would "take down" a major US bank with a series of disclosures early this year.
