Bank of America has kept bonuses for dealmakers largely in line with last year, even as some of its Wall Street rivals have cut back on variable compensation.

Bonuses at the Wall Street bank for junior and senior dealmakers were flat for 2023, compared with the prior year, according to people familiar with the matter. However, some bankers contacted by Financial News said that BofA had favoured higher performers more than in previous years, when payouts had been more evenly spread.
