Bank of America leads with $3bn Chinese deal

Bank of America is making the single biggest foreign investment in China's banking sector to date, paying $3bn (€2.47bn) for a 9% stake in China Construction Bank, one of the country's leading commercial banks.

Kenneth Lewis, chairman of Bank of America, and China Construction Bank chairman Guo Shuqing signed the deal in Beijing earlier today.
