The chief executive of Bank of America Merrill Lynch's new base of operation in the EU, Bruce Thompson, has named eight executives to leadership roles in Dublin in his first round of appointments since taking the reins in April.

The appointments, announced in a memo sent to staff on Tuesday, come a month after the departure of Alex Wilmot-Sitwell, BAML's former president of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
