Bank of America Securities has poached Joan Solotar, the star financial services analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), as its deputy head of equity research.

Solotar will report to Susan Silverstein, global head of equity research, and will be based in New York. She covers brokerage and asset management companies and she is chairman of the research, analysis and financial services planning committee of the US Securities Industry Association.
