Bank of America grabbed third place in the investment banking league tables in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in 2022 for the first time in a decade, and the Wall Street bank is now looking to “consolidate” that position after years of investment, according to Jim O’Neil, who leads the business in the region.

Taking the bronze medal has been a long time coming for the US bank. The last time Bank of America made it this high in Emea was in 2012, according to data provider Dealogic.
