Bank of England ‘unlikely’ to meet gender targets by end of 2020

Chief Operating Officer Joanna Place said that the central bank had met its target for 20% BAME employees by the end of the year

The Bank of England is unlikely to meet its targets to get more women into both junior and senior roles to boost gender diversity by the end of this year.

In an interview during Bloomberg’s Diversity Summit on 23 September, BoE's chief operating office Joanna Place said that it would be “unlikely” that the central bank meets its targets of having 50% and 35% of women in roles below and at senior management level respectively.
