Around 10,000 jobs could leave the City of London on the day the UK exits the European Union in March 2019, a deputy governor for the Bank of England has warned.

Sam Woods, who also runs the Prudential Regulation Authority, told members of the Lords EU financial affairs sub-committee that he expected Brexit "day one movement" to total 3% of the City of London — or 10,000 roles.
