Bank of Ireland moves to stem equity loses

Bank of Ireland Asset Management, the troubled Irish fund manager, has made two senior appointments to its investment team following the defection of six executives last year to rival Perpetual Trustees.

Ciaran O'Neill, former portfolio manager with Fidelity Management & Research Company in Boston, is joining as director with specific responsibility for global equities, where the firm has seen huge losses in the past four months.
