Bank of New York set to run Hermes' back office

Hermes, the UK activist fund manager which looks after the British Telecom pension scheme, is outsourcing its back office investment operations for the first time.

The company, which runs two major pension funds and has £60bn (€87.6bn) under management, said it had picked the Bank of New York to do exclusive due diligence for the contract.
