Goldman Sachs was riding high this week, with a role on the planned IPO of theme park operator Merlin Entertainments and the pick of the deals across the bank's equity, debt and M&A teams.
Goldman Sachs was announced as joint sponsor, joint global co-ordinator and joint bookrunner on the Merlin IPO, as was UK bank Barclays. Citigroup and Morgan Stanley are acting as joint bookrunners, while HSBC and UniCredit are co-lead managers. Lazard is acting as financial adviser to Merlin. Merlin will seek to raise £200 million in a primary offering.
