Bank stocks were trading higher on 10 September following a report that said an increase in regulators’ capital requirements will be slimmer than anticipated.

The largest US banks will face a 9% hike in capital requirements “after regulators agreed to sweeping changes to a proposed package of rules,” Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
