Bankers are at relatively low risk from coronavirus, latest data suggests

Finance workers have low exposure to the virus through their jobs, according to the Office for National Statistics

There have only been a handful of deaths from Covid-19 among UK financial services workers, and employees in the sector are thought to be at low risk of contracting the virus — findings that come as the government sets out steps to get people back into their offices.

Data from the Office for National Statistics, published on 11 May, show that between 9 March and 20 April there had been 4 coronavirus-related deaths in England and Wales among those classed as financial institution managers and directors.
