Banks at their gloomiest since 2008 over Brexit woes

PWC/CBI survey finds split in financial services, with banks feeling pessimistic but investment managers more upbeat

Falling optimism, particularly among banks, means the City hasn't been this gloomy since the financial crisis.

A CBI/PwC survey of financial services firms, published on January 23, found that sentiment among financial services firms deteriorated for the fourth consecutive quarter in the final three months of 2016, and had its sharpest drop since December 2008.
