Banks pitch IPO deals to private equity heavyweights

Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs are believed to have approached private equity groups, including Carlyle Group, Texas Pacific Group and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, with pitches to play a role in taking them public.

The two companies nearest to taking such a radical step are Carlyle and Blackstone Group, although both of them say they would not seek public listings in the short term, according to the Wall Street Journal.
