Banks reassess internship programmes

Bank execs are reconsidering internship programmes, while others are taking steps to ease conditions for young people

Bank of America Merrill Lynch on Friday circulated a memo saying it recommends junior staffers take off at least four weekend days a month. The company declined to comment beyond confirming the memo, which was reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.
