Investment banks can look forward to a return to revenue growth as regulatory and compliance-related burdens lessen, according to analysts at consultancy Opimas.

The consultancy’s Capital Markets and Investment Banking 2017-2018 Forecast, published this week, sets out a scenario under which investment banks can expect “modest” revenue growth of about 2.3% in 2017 across their sales and trading, securities services and investment banking businesses.
