Banks snap up high net worth advisers

Bank of America and Lehman Brothers have both made acquisitions to boost their wealth management businesses as niche players build market share managing money for multimillionaires.

Bank of America will pay $3.3bn (€2.57bn) to buy US Trust, the 153-year old high net worth wealth manager belonging to Charles Schwab.
