Banks to be appointed on Polish telecoms privatisation

Poland is poised to appoint two international investment banks to lead a further sale of the government's stake in its leading telecoms company Telekommunikacja Polska (TPSA).

Anna Artimowicv, project manager in the department of strategic companies at the treasury ministry, said: &quotA consortium of two well-known international banks will probably be appointed. The banks will be chosen on the basis of price and many other formal conditions.&quot
