Efforts by banks and finance companies to tackle the high-stress, long-hours culture of City workers have largely fallen flat, a new survey shows, with about a quarter of staff worrying their job is affecting their health.

The Banking Standards Board, set up in 2015 to promote good behaviour among UK banks and their staff, reviews working practices across the sector in an annual report.
