Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch and Nikko Salomon Smith Barney stand to win fees of around $150m (m) after clinching mandates to be joint global co-ordinators for the latest $12bn equity offering from NTT DoCoMo. Goldman Sachs will be especially pleased to be involved in this sixth tranche, which is expected to be launched in the next two months. The bank has defied some reports, which predicted that its unhappy experience earlier this year with World Online's IPO had ruled it out of contention. There were also reports that the offering would be postponed.
