Barclays Capital, the debt-focused UK investment bank, has hired six senior bankers to strengthen its sales, trading and research franchise in the global emerging debt markets.

Andrew McDougal has joined Barclays from Credit Suisse First Boston in London, where he was head of trading for eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa and Latin America. He will report to Francois Jourdain, head of emerging markets rates trading at Barclays.
