Barclays Capital’s investment banking head Jerry del Missier, who is preparing to relocate to the US, has handed responsibility for the bank's European trading business to its global head of commodities.

Benoit de Vitry, global head of commodities, emerging markets and quantitative analytics was appointed to lead Barclays Capital’s European global markets trading business last month. He retains his current duties.
