BarCap hires Wright as vice-chairman

Barclays Capital, the debt-focused investment banking division of Barclays, has appointed Sir David Wright to succeed Sir Leonard Appleyard as vice-chairman with effect from January 1, 2003.

Wright will join Barclays Capital in London as a senior relationship adviser, focusing on companies in the UK and Asia Pacific regions. He will report to Grant Kvalheim, global head of investment banking and credit products, and Robert Morrice, Asia Pacific chairman and chief executive.
