BarCap loses second credit research head in three months

Barclays Capital has lost a second senior banker from its award-winning European credit research team following the resignation of Jim Reid, head of credit strategy at the UK investment bank.

A spokeswoman for Barclays Capital confirmed that Reid, who has worked as a credit analyst and strategist at the bank for more than eight years, quit on Wednesday, but declined to give further details. Barclays Capital has not yet appointed a replacement for Reid.
