Barclays Capital has created 80 new managing directors among its 15,700 staff worldwide, with nearly half of those elevated to the investment bank's top echelon based in London.

The new draft of managing directors, which Barclays announced in a press advertisement today, includes Peter Romain, global chief operating officer of the bank’s rates business, and several team heads across Barclays’ businesses.
