Barclays Capital chief executive Bob Diamond was paid more than £10m (€14.5m) in salary and bonuses last year and stands to receive up to £5m more this year based on his performance in 2005.
Barclays disclosed in its annual report yesterday that Diamond, who is chairman of Barclays' asset management business as well as head of the investment banking arm, received £10.25m in pay and bonuses in 2005.
