Barclays fined £26m over ‘poor treatment’ of customers

The bank did not dispute the findings and agreed to settle the case, the regulator said

The Financial Conduct Authority has fined Barclays £26m over “poor treatment” of customers in financial difficulty.

In a 15 December statement, the City watchdog said that it had found that between April 2014 and December 2018 the FTSE 100 bank had treated customers “poorly” when they fell into arrears.
