Barclays and Deutsche scoop Malaysia bond mandate

The Malaysian government has picked Barclays Capital and Deutsche Bank to manage its first ever issue in the euro bond market.

Malaysia plans to issue a landmark euro-denominated deal in mid to late November, to become only the second Asian sovereign borrower to tap that market. The Philippino government was the first when it issued a bond last year.
