Barclays Capital expands German operations

Barclays Capital, the investment banking arm of Barclays, has made two appointments for the bank's Frankfurt office.

Steffen Dahmer, previously head of credit trading at DG Bank, joins Barclays as a director and head of European Pfandbriefe trading. Pfandbriefe are mortgage based bonds issued by German state-backed institutions. Dahmer will also be a member of the Barclays Capital management committee in Germany.
