Barclays Capital has hired Julian Callow from Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) as a director and chief European economist in its research team in London.

Callow had worked for CSFB for three years as chief economist for continental Europe and co-head of European economics. Prior to that he worked at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson (now Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein).
