Barclays Capital has hired two senior power and natural gas specialists from Enron and expects to recruit up to 25 in total from the troubled energy trader.

The team, from Enron Europe in London, will be managed by Joseph Gold, who joins Barclays as head of continental Europe power and gas, and Richard Lewis, who will be head of UK power and gas. They will report to Benoit de Vitry, global head of commodities.
