Barclays Capital has hired Raul Ponte from Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Deigo Gradowczyk from Compass Group as part of an expansion of its Latin American debt platform.

Ponte, who joins as a managing director, will be head of sovereign coverage for the region. He was at DrKW for just eight months the bank hired him in February from Chase to be head of sovereign debt origination for Latin America.
