Barclays Capital has recruited three executives from Oaktree Capital Management to build its US distressed debt and special situations team.

Matt Barrett will become the new head of distressed debt and special situations investing. He formerly worked for ten years at Oaktree Capital Management where he was head of analysis. Earlier in his career at Oaktree, he was a portfolio principal for the firm's opportunities funds.
