Barclays Capital hires two telecoms bankers

Barclays Capital has hired Reuben Daniels from Deutsche Bank and Gustavo Ferraro from Citigroup for its technology, media and telecoms (TMT) and debt capital markets practices.

A recent burst of TMT mergers and acquisitions activity in the US has given hope for a recovery across the sector. Recent multi-billion dollar deals include Oracle's hostile bid for Peoplesoft, and Yahoo's $1.6bn (€1.4bn) takeover of Overture.
