Barclays will hold a virtual-only annual general meeting for shareholders for the first time in its history in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The AGM, originally set to take place in Glasgow, will now be streamed from the bank's London headquarters at Canary Wharf on 7 May. Shareholders are barred from attending in-person, the bank said in a statement on 3 April.
