Barclays Capital, the debt-focused UK investment bank, has hired Lorraine Connell from Morgan Stanley as an associate director in its financial institutions (FIG) group.

Connell, who will join the bank's London office next Monday, will be responsible for UK client coverage within the debt capital markets team at Barclays Capital. In her new role, she will report to David Lyon, managing director of the FIG group.
