Barclays Capital has hired Ottavio Muzi-Falconi from Merrill Lynch to be head of debt capital markets for Italy.

Muzi-Falconi, who joins Barclays as a managing director based in London, was at Merrill Lynch from 1992 to 2001 in a variety of roles including head of European corporates.
