Tim Throsby, the ex-JPMorgan banker hired to reinvigorate Barclays’ corporate and investment bank, has stepped down after barely two years at the UK lender as a part of a broader shake-up of the division.
Barclays announced Throsby’s surprise departure on March 27 alongside a number of other leadership changes. The shake-up comes as activist investor Edward Bramson continues to push for radical changes at Barclays’ investment bank.
