Barclays has named a new global head of research focused in ESG as large investment banks continue to tout their environmental credentials.

The UK lender has named Marie Freier as global head of ESG research. She has joined from Sanford Bernstein, where she was co-head of European sales and global head of ESG, spending more than 13 years at the firm.
