Trading Places: Barclays’ new compliance boss, JPMorgan taps Deutsche, Moelis hires again

Barclayshired a new chief compliance officer from rival HSBC, as the bank navigates a dealmaking downturn and continuing regulatory investigations into former chief executive Jes Staley’s ties with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The bank said on 20 April it had named Kirsty Everett as its new compliance chief, ending a few months of search.

JPMorgan tapped a senior Deutsche Bank dealmaker to lead its coverage of metals and mining companies in Europe. Khaled Fathallah will join the US bank after more than 13 years at Deutsche. He will be head of metals and mining for Emea, reporting to James Janoskey who co-heads JPMorgan's energy group.
