Barclays could hike bonuses for its capital markets bankers by up to 20% in what is expected to be a strong year for dealmaker compensation.

The UK lender could increase bonus payments for bankers in equity and debt capital markets functions by 10-20%, while those in trading jobs are expected to see a 5-10% rise, according to Bloomberg, which cited people familiar with the matter.
