Barclays Private Equity invests £10m in teaching firm

Barclays Private Equity, the private equity arm of Barclays Capital, has invested £10m (€16m) to back the management buy-out of Teaching Personnel, the UK supply teachers provider, adding to its stable of niche recruitment companies.

Gavin Donnelly, a founder director of Teaching Personnel, will remain the majority shareholder. Teaching Personnel supplies teachers to primary and secondary schools in England and Wales. The money will be used to expand and improve the company's services.
