Barclays Private Equity, the mid-market buy-out arm of the UK bank, has scooped three of this year's Financial News Awards for Excellence in Private Equity - Europe 2005, including best disposal of the year for its flotation of insurer Admiral during a tough IPO market.

The firm also won mid-market buy-out firm of the year and the UK private equity firm of the year.
