Rich Ricci, the chief executive of Barclays’ corporate and investment bank, has carried out his first change to the management of the unit since taking over in June, with the creation of a single markets business.

The unit will combine investment bank trading and distribution teams across fixed income, commodities and currencies and equities. Eric Bommensath, formerly head of FICC, will lead the business.
