Barclays Capital has broken the three-year dominance of French rival BNP Paribas as the leading intermediary across fixed-income markets, according to an investor survey for the French Treasury.
The investment banking arm of UK bank Barclays is now ranked equal top with BNP Paribas in fixed-income after three years when it has been beaten into second position in the annual survey of investors, which has been conducted on behalf of the Agence France Trésor by IEM-Finance consultancy.
