Barclays to ramp up Canary Wharf and New York office numbers from June

Barclays will start ramping up employee numbers in Canary Wharf and New York from June, with the bank's chief executive Jes Staley saying that its staff increasingly want to come back to the office.

Staley said that flexible working was "here to stay", but that an increasing proportion of Barclays employees are keen to come back into the office.
