Barclays is set to cut bonuses for dealmakers by up to 40% this year, following Wall Street rivals by squeezing pay for investment bankers after a slump in fees.

The UK lender is set to reduce bonuses for senior dealmakers by 30-40%, depending on business line and location, according to conversations with senior bankers.
